MPs vote on bombing so-called Islamic State targets in Syria

Huw Edwards presents the BBC News at Ten live from Westminster on the evening MPs vote on extending air-strikes on so-called Islamic State, to targets in Syria.

Extended in duration to 55 minutes – to include the result of the vote – the programme featured an unprecedented 14 outside sources – including the 'Newscopter' and two live package rolls from edit suites.

I was the main programme director, leading the team at New Broadcasting House (and in the air above Westminster) – while a colleague directed the two-camera OB outside the Houses of Parliment.
